Go West
In a new residential development, we have designed a minimalist and transparent extension that blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The factory-built house provided the residents with plenty of living space and comfort. However, they were looking for more connection with the garden and their immediate surroundings.
Whilst the existing house, with its traditional brick architecture and thatched roof, offers a sense of security, the new rear façade opens up fully onto the surrounding garden. Thanks to a continuous wooden terrace and a low-pitched roof, a seamless transition is created, allowing the dining table to become part of the lush, green garden on fine days.
