Allart became a partner architect at vector-i in mid-2018. Prior to that, he worked for more than twenty years (1996-2018) at Onix, where he was involved in projects of all imaginable scales. He has worked on various projects in the city of Groningen, as well as school buildings, residential and utility projects, and infrastructural works throughout the country. He also has extensive experience in agricultural cultural heritage and rural areas.
Allart made significant contributions to the circular renovation of the Gasunie headquarters, the construction of Engelberts Primary school, and serves as our contact person for the biobased, circular, and modular building system mHome. In addition to his architectural work, he is a teacher at the Academy of Architecture Groningen and mentors the Professional Experience Program (BEP) at the Architects’ Register.
He has also been a member of the provincial architectural committee of Groningen (Libau) for many years

Ben van der Meer resides and works in the city center of Groningen. In 2015, he established vector-i there, after which architects Henri van Hoeve and Allart Vogelzang became partners. Ben graduated from the Academy of Architecture in Groningen and previously worked at Bonnema Architects and De Zwarte Hond. Recent works by vector-i include Vapiano Nieuwe Markt Zuidzijde and OBS Driebond Engelbert. Currently, Ben is actively involved in projects such as HOLT, P2 Europapark, and the Museum aan de A, all located in Groningen.
Ben is a guest lecturer at the Academy of Architecture, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, Praedinius College, and the IMC Weekend School.

Max has been involved with vector-i since its inception. He contributed to our first project, Vapiano. Since 2020, he has worked as an architect at vector-i, participating in a variety of projects ranging from residential construction to renovation and research.
Max studied architecture at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and later at the Academy of Architecture in Rotterdam. Before joining vector-i, he worked at Suppose Design Office in Japan on the design of unique residences, completed an internship at DeZwarteHond, and worked as an architect/student at Powerhouse Company on projects such as Station Assen and Merckt in Groningen.

Bernd started at vector-i in 2019 during his internship as part of his studies at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. Since then, he has remained involved with the firm. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he began his master’s degree at the Delft University of Technology and continues to work with us on various projects, either from The Hague or Groningen.

Eva, born and raised in Groningen, lives in a former shop in the city center with her partner, which they completely renovated together. She has a great fondness for used materials and is an avid collector of vintage items. Eva has worked in various industries, but feels most at home in a creative environment like vector-i’s.

Femke has been part of the team since 2023 and contributes to various projects, including the Huys de Haar project in Haren.
She studied Interior Architecture at the ArtEZ art academy in Zwolle and then obtained her Master’s in Architecture at the Academy of Architecture in Groningen. During her graduation, she researched the physical and mental needs of AYAs (Adolescents and Young Adults). Through a case study at Staalmanplein, near the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital, she designed “a temporary home,” a place where these young people can stay, spend the night, and meet peers.
When she’s not working at vector-i, you can find her working on her own construction site, where she’s renovating an old farmhouse into a home.

Henri has been a partner architect at vector-i since 2017. Prior to that, he worked at Ai Wei Wei’s studio, ZAO standard Architecture, and co-founded the Beijing-based firm PD+HVH (now NAO) between 2006 and 2013. From 2013 to 2017, he worked in the Netherlands at De Zwarte Hond and Onix. He has been involved in the renovation of the Assen City Hall, the interior renovation of Theater de Machinefabriek for the Noord Nederlands Toneel, Tang Contemporary Art Gallery in Beijing, Ordos 100 in Inner Mongolia, and HangZhou Business Club.
Henri is also a lecturer at the Academy of Architecture in Groningen, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, and the IMC Weekend School.

Sanne joined our team in 2019 and has been involved in various projects of different scales. He studied architecture at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and the Academy of Architecture in Groningen. In his graduation project, he conducted research on the relationship between humans, nature, and architecture in the rural area of Groningen. He gained extensive experience as a construction engineer and designer at various firms in Groningen and Drenthe.

Jesse is a third-year Architectural Engineering student at Avans University of Applied Sciences in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. He has a solid foundation in architectural engineering and experience with various projects, which has ignited his passion for architecture. He sees his internship as a crucial step to deepen his knowledge in the field of circular architecture and sustainable construction, gain practical experience in a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to projects with a social impact.

Merve is in her final year of Architectural Engineering at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Zwolle. She has been interning with us since September, under the guidance of Femke. During her internship, she is putting her knowledge and skills into practice and gaining valuable experience in architecture. She wants to use her time at vector-i to further develop herself towards her dream of becoming an architect.
