Beschermd Wonen
At the residential care estate, Het Groot Graffel, near Warnsveld, people with a range of care needs live together in a leafy park. Everyone here is given a lovely place to live in a communal setting.
We are delighted with the completion of the ‘Beschermd wonen’ care homes for Tactus. Here, people can live independently whilst receiving outpatient support for addiction issues. The complex comprises modular units arranged around a green, open field. The field offers residents space to relax and socialise in a sheltered and well-organised courtyard garden.
The site is a temporary development on the estate. The homes have been built for a period of just 15 years, but they do meet all the requirements and standards for permanent construction. This means that the homes comply with the Building Regulations for permanent construction. In keeping with the concept of temporariness, the residential modules can be easily detached and transported as complete units on a lorry. After 15 years, the residential modules can once again provide new, innovative solutions to the housing challenges facing society at that time.
